The 28th National Congress, which is the largest gathering of the Orthopaedics of Turkey, will be held at Sueno Belek Congress Centre, Belek, Antalya between 30 October and 4 November 2018, thanks to the contribution of GLOBAL Turizm. As the Congress Organisation Committee, we are proud to invite all of you to see the entire family of orthopaedics together.
As it is common knowledge, the congress events which we hold in even years, are usually those where sub-branch associations set their schedules. Our associations will set a rich schedule for you this year as well. In the time allocated to TOTBİD, we would like to prioritise the assessment of cases which we do/might come across during our daily practice. Exchange of experiences rather than standard lectures will be aimed and with a maiximum number of discussion sessions as possible and using high quality visuals, we plan to achieve this goal. We will also hold social programs and paramedical presentations which will be of interest to all and reinforce our solidity. Moreover, our guests from abroad will enhance our program. The fourth Physiotherapy - Orthopaedics and Traumatology Joint Symposium will also add to our congress.
On behalf of all TOTBİD Board members, Congress Organisation Committee, Scientific Program Committee, sub-branch associations' boards and social committee members, TOTBİD employees and GLOBAL Turizm employees who put in their effort for the preparation of our national congress which is one of the four largest congresses in Turkey, we would like to invite all of you once again, wishing to have a congress with which all participants will be pleased.

We are proud to invite you to "4th Physiotherapy - Orthopaedics and Traumatology Stakeholders Symposium" which will be held at Antalya -Sueno Belek Congress Centre from 30 October to 4 November 2018 as part of the 28th National Turkish Orthopaedics and Traumatology Congress.
The Physiotherapy - Orthopaedics and Traumatology Stakeholders Symposium which was launched in 2011 with great contribution from the Turkish Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (TOTBID) and became a biannual tradition as part of TOTBID congresses, has become what it is today thanks to you, our esteemed participants.
This year, the main theme for the fourth edition of the symposium will be "Current approaches to orthopaedic physiotherapy and rehabilitation". The purpose of this gathering is to examine current and evidence-based approaches to physiotherapy and rehabilitation more thoroughly, enhance our colleagues' clinic knowledge and skills regarding these matters, and facilitate an exchange of information in sessions held with orthopaedic surgeons.
The scientific agenda of this symposium will include pathomechanics of musculoskeletal system disorders, biomechanical and holistic approaches to treatment, and current practices employed in orthopaedic rehabilitation. To that end, the theme of discussion in the sessions will be current orthopaedic rehabilitation approaches employed in the treatment of musculoskeletal system disorders and the effects of these approaches based on evidence. The principles of protective and preventive rehabilitation, new exercise practices employed in orthopaedic rehabilitation, and new surgery-specific rehabilitation programs will also be discussed. New practices and principles of orthopaedists and physiotherapists in conservative and surgical treatment of various orthopaedic issues will also be addressed in shared panels and sessions to be held with orthopaedists who contributed greatly to the conception or development of physiotherapy in the modern sense.
Parallel to the developments in the field of orthopaedics, many physiotherapists in our country and across the world, specialised in the field of orthopaedic rehabilitation in addition to other fields, and their numbers increased with the increasing demand for this field in the society. The scientific studies carried out by our colleagues in the field of orthopaedic rehabilitation led to evidence-based practices making their way into clinics. As the organisation committee we invite you all to the 4th Physiotherapy-Orthopaedics Stakeholders Symposium where the national and international scientific and clinic studies in the field of orthopaedic rehabilitation will be presented in panels, conferences, workshops, and verbal and written manifestos.
We kindly invite you to contribute and participate to have a good time both scientifically and socially, and to see you at the symposium where the current approaches to orthopaedic rehabilitation will be discussed from different angles and consensus will be achieved on speculative issues with our colleagues and orthopaedics.
